Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa

The spectacular Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa is located on Keoneloa Bay in ever-sunny Poipu. The classic 1920's & 1930's Hawaiian architecture reflects the traditional elegance of old Hawaii , with oversized rooms graced by plantation furnishings and breathtaking views. Nestled along 50 oceanfront acres, this Kauai Hyatt offers a 25,000-square ft. spa facility and an extensive pool area with waterfalls, Jacuzzis, and a 150-foot waterslide.  This is a beautiful Kauai hotel.

More important is the romantic feel of this Kauai hotel. The building is only two stories high and the vegetation is very lush. All sorts of nooks and crannies are hidden in the garden making one feel as if they are in their own private retreat at the Kauai Hyatt. The pool has a lazy river through it with waterfalls and out of the way slides.  

The rooms have the traditional darks wood trim. The beds are very comfortable with Hawaiian décor through out. Each room has a lanai. Some rooms have better views than others.  

Monday night the management has a special honeymooner's cocktail party. This is a great way to meet other people and get ideas of where to eat on the island. This resort has some great restaurants on property too.  

The beach is small and the surf is rough here so swimming in the ocean is not recommended. The small lagoon pool doubles as a beach and snorkel area for those that prefer the ocean feel. Other beaches on the island are easily accessible and swimmable. A short car ride will give you access to many beaches.
